Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ASAM criteria
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and behavioral health strategies.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including patient records, progress notes, intake forms, and treatment updates.
Qualifications
- ADT or above, certified or licensed in the state of MD
- Proven experience in substance abuse treatment settings with familiarity in addiction medicine and behavioral health practices.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavior management techniques.
- Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention, patient care, and patient assessment within hospital or community environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake interviews and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations. - Work 32 hours and get paid for 40 hours.
- This position is 2 days a week at Elkton, MD and 2 days a week at Aberdeen, MD
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
