Responsibilities

We invite applications for a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position with opportunities for promotion and multi-year contracts. This position is fully on campus and in person. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Teaching a 3–3 course load (three courses in the fall and three in the spring), supporting field placement responsibilities year-round, and teaching additional courses during the summer term as assigned.
  • Working as a field liaison for Tallahassee BSW and MSW students completing internships at community agencies, serving as the primary link between the College of Social Work, the agency, and the students.
  • Advising BSW and MSW students throughout the field placement process.
  • Assisting in the development of field placement opportunities for Tallahassee BSW and MSW students.
  • Conducting trainings and providing support to community partners to ensure quality field placement experiences.
  • Engaging in College service and committee work.

Qualifications

MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and two years of post-MSW clinical experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, involvement in social work field education, and Clinical Social Work (LCSW) licensure or an equivalent credential. Additional preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate the ability to build strong community relationships and teach across the social work curriculum.
