ABA Clinical Director - BCBA

Position Overview

This is a blended Clinical Director + practicing BCBA role.

You will:

• Maintain a manageable caseload
• Provide direct and indirect supervision
• Oversee clinical quality across the organization
• Interview and onboarding new hires
• Conduct initial assessment and reassessments
• Support with case start-ups
• Facilitate staff trainings
• Meet with the Executive Director weekly

This role is ideal for a BCBA who wants leadership responsibility without losing clinical involvement.

Key Responsibilities - Clinical Caseload (Direct Role)

• Conduct assessments (FBA) and develop treatment plans
• Provide supervision (direct + indirect) to assigned cases
• Deliver caregiver training (telehealth and/or in-person)
• Ensure clinical progress and data-driven decision-making

Clinical Leadership (Director Role)

• Oversee quality across all cases and staff
• Guide and mentor mid-level supervisors and RBTs
• Review and approve assessments and treatment plans
• Ensure supervision meets 20% payer requirements
• Support complex cases and clinical problem-solving

Operations & Growth

• Collaborate on hiring and onboarding clinical staff
• Help structure caseload distribution and scheduling efficiency
• Build scalable systems and SOPs
• Support expansion of telehealth and caregiver-mediated ABA

Qualifications

• Active BCBA certification (required)
• Active California license (required or in progress)
• Minimum 5+ years BCBA experience
• Minimum 2 years of Clinical Director experience
• Experience with insurance-based ABA
• Strong supervision and leadership skills

Preferred

• Familiarity with CentralReach
• Bilingual is a plus

Pay: $70.00 per hour
