A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a full semester contract at an elementary school located in Coventry, RI. This opportunity is designed to support a school community during a maternity leave period, providing essential psychological services to students within an elementary school caseload. The role is based on a 37.5-hour workweek and will conclude on June 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations tailored to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and support services to students, families, and staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs and intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Certification or licensure in School Psychology
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and best practices in educational psychology
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments
