A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a full semester contract at an elementary school located in Coventry, RI. This opportunity is designed to support a school community during a maternity leave period, providing essential psychological services to students within an elementary school caseload. The role is based on a 37.5-hour workweek and will conclude on June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations tailored to elementary-aged students
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide counseling and support services to students, families, and staff
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address student needs and intervention strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with school policies

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Certification or licensure in School Psychology
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and best practices in educational psychology
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments

This full-time contract offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact the academic and emotional success of young learners while gaining valuable experience in an elementary school setting. The position does not include a VOCO (Voluntary Certified Occupational Credential) component.
