Clinical Supervisor

Organization Description: Nutley Family Service Bureau, Inc. (NFSB) is a private not-for-profit organization that was established in 1913. The organization has a long history of commitment to service, leadership and excellence in community-based services. NFSB’s mission is to strengthen the social and emotional well-being of individuals and families through affordable mental health counseling and social service programs.Since 2025, NFSB has received accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA). NFSB is also licensed by the State of New Jersey to operate and provide Mental Health Outpatient Services. Our accreditation and licensure are a testament to the quality of the services we offer. Some of the services we provide are:

Position Overview: The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical supervision to clinicians and interns in the accredited outpatient mental health services. Reporting to the Director of Outpatient Services the position serves as a leader within the clinical program, and ensures and maintains staff compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and licensing requirements.

Reports to: Director of Outpatient Services, Nutley Family Service Bureau

Location: 155 and 169 Chestnut, Street, Nutley, NJ

Hours: 40 hrs. Full-time; 5 days a week with 1/2 evening required

FLSA Status: Exempt. This position does/does not have direct oversight of any positions within the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision, guidance, and coaching to counseling staff and interns.
  • Carry a caseload.
  • Monitor staff productivity to ensure program meets contractual requirements.
  • Ensure enforcement of all clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure staff compliance with all applicable policies, procedures and licensing requirements.
  • Provide oversight and ensure maintenance of case records of residents in keeping with standards of confidentiality and privacy.
  • Work with Director regarding program budgets.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement to enhance quality of services provided.
  • Assist in training, and developing a highly motivated and effective team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Social Work
  • New Jersey Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Clinical Supervision Certificate
  • Excellent assessment, clinical, and organizational skills, as well as experience working with a wide variety of populations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially using Outlook, Word, Excel and customized databases. Ideally with experience working with electronic medical records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
