Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to foster positive relationships while providing support in various settings.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
- Provide direct support and teach skills related to social interactions, communication, and daily living.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and care plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
- Engage in behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health and special education.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy practices and special education methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to understand medical terminology related to patient care and behavioral health.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards in all aspects of work.
