Psychiatrist - Hollywood FL
The psychiatrist has overall clinical responsibility for the client’s treatment and staff’s delivery of clinical services. The psychiatrist is responsible and provides direct psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and discharge planning for consumers; provide consultation, as needed to other mental health professionals by clinical supervision; education and training; and development, maintenance and supervision of medication and psychiatric and medical treatment policies and procedures. Additionally, the psychiatrist provides oversight to staff APRN as dictated in protocol. Services are provided in accordance with accepted standards of professional practice and policies and procedures of HBH while assuring that the unit operates within the guidelines established by the Agency for Health Care Administration, CARF, Department of Children and Families and in a manner that is consistent with HBH mission, vision, and values. Additionally, it ensures that facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws. This is a 100% direct service position that requires availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends; as well as on-call duties. M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida. Valid DEA license. Maintain Florida state license in good standing. Four (4) years or more of ACGME approved psychiatry residency program successfully completed.
What We Are Looking For
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- M.D. or D.O. Degree (Required).
- At least 2 years of experience in direct patient care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Florida driver’s license and auto insurance (Preferred).
