This position is required to be on-site as in person training and being onsite at clinics is a requirement of the position. Position will be based out of the corporate office in Highlands Ranch, CO.
SummaryThe Athena System Implementation and Support Specialist reports directly to the Director of Athena and is responsible for managing and supporting the athena EMR system for new and existing OnPoint Medical Group locations.
This position is considered full time and schedule will be Monday through Friday typically 40 hours per week. After hours and On-call maybe necessary during certain events or projects.
This role provides system implementation, optimization, training, and ongoing application support to end users. The Specialist plays a key role in onboarding new practices, supporting go-lives, and ensuring system integrity and workflow efficiency across the organization. This position also leads orientation-based system training for newly hired Medical Assistants (MAs) and Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs).
This position will be located at the corporate office in Highlands Ranch, CO but must be able to travel to the locations throughout Colorado.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reports to and collaborates with the Director of Athena.Manages the Athena ticketing system, including prioritizing, assigning, and monitoring end-user requests, with attention to urgent issues.Supports system implementations, optimization initiatives, upgrades, and go-live activities for new and existing locations.Provides onboarding and orientation training for newly hired Medical Assistants (MAs) and Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs), ensuring proficiency in Athena workflows and system navigation.Translates system configurations and workflow validations into effective training environments.Develops training materials and delivers presentations in both classroom and one-on-one settings.Provides ongoing education and support for end users, including troubleshooting and workflow improvement guidance.Collaborates with internal and external implementation teams.Partners with the Compliance Department to ensure the integrity and regulatory compliance of the EMR system.Drives continuous improvement through trend reporting, system analysis, and monitoring of key performance metrics.Builds, generates, and analyzes system and operational reports.Manages multiple projects and priorities within flexible time frames; adapts to shifting organizational needs.Participates in on-call and remote resolution activities as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
