This 1099 opportunity offers a unique combination of flexibility, autonomy, and consistent case volume across both hospital and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) settings. Providers will work across a diverse case mix, including general surgery, orthopedics, OB, urology, ENT, vascular, and outpatient procedures. Kaiser’s Central Valley locations are known for their predictable schedules, high case throughput, and supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across a variety of surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain informed consent
• Develop and execute anesthetic plans tailored to each patient
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to clinical changes
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal outcomes
• Participate in maintaining efficient OR flow and high-quality patient care
Requirements
• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active, unrestricted California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor
• Active malpractice insurance coverage
