Be the bridge between behavioral health care and community safety—supporting individuals in crisis with compassion, expertise, and partnership.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The Co-Responder Behavioral Health II (CRBH) is embedded alongside local law enforcement and behavioral health partners to provide in-the-moment support for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges or crises in the community. This role focuses on assessment, de-escalation, and connection to supportive services, helping individuals access the care and resources they need. As part of a person-centered, integrated team, the CRBH collaborates with law enforcement, courts, and community providers to promote safe outcomes and coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities


  • Partner with local law enforcement through Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) and other initiatives supporting individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Collaborate with community behavioral health providers and local partners to coordinate services
  • Work with Behavioral Health Courts or other specialty/diversion courts supporting individuals with behavioral health needs
  • Provide or coordinate behavioral health training and consultation for law enforcement partners
  • Assist with behavioral health assessments and support de-escalation during community responses when appropriate
  • Help individuals connect with behavioral health services, resources, and ongoing supports
  • Assist law enforcement in navigating inpatient hospitalization processes, including petitions for involuntary detention when required
  • Participate in critical incident debriefs and provide behavioral health consultation as needed
  • Complete required documentation in accordance with program standards
  • Contribute as an active member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in the courts, police, and/or human service field required
  • LPC or LMSW preferred
