Job Description:Primary Purpose:Provides therapeutic support for children, adolescents and families experiencing social, behavioral, or emotional issues that interfere with academic success. Perform casework service to help students resolve personal, emotional, and social problems that interfere with their adjustment to school and their ability to enjoy the benefits of the educational process. Will employ therapeutic interventions with individuals, families, and groups, as well as provide crisis counseling and case management services. Will facilitate communication between the school, student, community and family to encourage positive working relationships to help meet the needs of the individual student to be successful in school.Minimum Qualifications:Education/CertificateMaster’s degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program preferredValid Texas Social Worker licenseLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferredCandidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check.
