For the therapist who would like to work with 2-12 year olds, teens, parents, couples or the perinatal population.

Full time 20-22 clients per week. Benefits available for full time. Part time 10-15 clients per week.

Little Dove Counseling would like to hire a therapist who is passionate about serving children and families through Play and Expressive Arts Techniques. Our ideal candidate is pursuing or has a certification in play therapy (RPT), similar modality, or Expressive Arts Therapy (REAT), or has a PMH-C who enjoys learning, and is an out-of-the-box thinker when identifying interventions for clients. Little Dove Counseling is looking for a therapist who holds shared values providing trauma-informed care, understanding family systems, and prioritizing care for the family unit.

This position is ideal for full-time candidate who can open two clients a week until full. A week at Little Dove includes seeing up tp 22 clients per week, collaborating in case consults, and strategizing ways to better serve our community. Our primary referrals are for children ages 2-12 years old for individual, family, parent, couples and group therapy.

This candidate will fit well with our team of 9 therapists if they (a) love collaboration (b) enjoy creative therapy interventions , and (c) value community building. Our team meets weekly for in-person team meetings, case consults, and online supervision groups. We often hold cases of siblings together and collaborate closely on care. We believe in asking questions, leaning on each other's insights, and cheering one another on!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to children and their families
  • Holds expertise in family systems
  • Perform assessments for new clients
  • Develop diagnosis and treatment plans for families in 4-6 sessions
  • Participate in community outreach activities
  • Collaborate with your teammates
  • Comfortable with incorporating client's faith into treatment
  • Open two clients a week until reaching a full caseload of approximately 20-22 clients per week

Skills & Experience

  • LCSW, LMFT, ASW, AMFT
  • 1 year of experience providing therapy to one of the following populations: perinatal, couples, children, teens, families
  • 1 year of experience providing direct therapy to children and families
  • 2 years experience providing family therapy (preferred)
  • 1 year experience providing therapy to children 3-5 years old (preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively on a team

Hours: Combination of daytime and evening hours based on population served.

Pay: $70-90 (licensed only)

Associates will be considered based on experience: pay scale is $62-67

Admin pay: $20 an hour (makes up approximately half of overall hours).

Expected hours: 40 per week (no more then 22 clinical hours per week), varies for part time.
