We are looking to add more clinicians (fully licensed only) to our team!

Intentional Therapy started in March 2021 in the hopes of creating a sustainable and holistic work and therapy environment. This company was built with therapists in mind and able to give them the flexibility they want and need to be the best therapists for themselves and their clients.

Our organization is searching for a skilled licensed professional counselor to join its staff. In this role, you will be responsible for treating clients struggling with mental, behavioral, and emotional health problems. This starts with identifying the exact nature of the client's issues. Then, you will create personalized strategies that help the individual work towards their desired mental healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

The LPC/LCSW/LMFT or equivalent will work directly with clients, parents, and legal guardians to provide individual and group counseling, as well as link families to long-term counseling solutions and external support organizations. Other duties include:

  • Meet with clients to determine the exact nature of their mental health concerns
  • Provide targeting counseling designed to help the individual overcome their problems
  • Remain knowledgeable of the latest methodologies in counseling to provide patients with the best possible care
  • Refer clients to other mental healthcare providers as necessary
  • Remain warm and engaged through the duration of every client's counseling session

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas licensure as a fully licensed LPC/LCSW/LMFT or equivalent ONLY
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
  • Extensive knowledge of South Asian family dynamics, with expertise in addressing eldest daughter syndrome, bi-cultural identity, and intergenerational trauma.
  • Exceptional communication skills to ensure effective collaboration and engagement in a fully virtual practice setting
  • Specialty in BIPOC (Asian, South Asian, Hispanic, etc.) culture, trauma, intergenerational trauma, and multicultural competency.
  • Experience in first-generational trauma

Preferred but not required:

  • Fluent in languages other than English, such as Gujarati, Hindi, Urdu, Spanish, Telugu, Arabic, etc.
  • Supervisor status
  • Open to licensure in other states as a telehealth provider

Salary

This is a W2 position.
