Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


Support the social-emotional growth and academic success of middle school students by serving as a dedicated Counselor for two middle school campuses in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a special education population, providing essential counseling services in a dynamic school environment from ASAP through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling services to students in grades 6-8
  • Collaborate with special education teams to support students' unique needs
  • Assist students with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, enhancing their overall school experience
  • Advocate for students by connecting with teachers, administrators, and families to create comprehensive support plans
  • Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives aimed at improving student well-being and academic achievement

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a school counselor, particularly with middle school-aged students
  • Background in counseling special education students is highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a school setting
  • Valid counseling certification or licensure appropriate for school settings

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is based in Fort Worth, TX
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract assignment from ASAP through the end of the current school year
