Location: North Seattle 13555 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98133

Salary Range: $28.00 Hourly

Shift: 7-3:30pm or 8-4:30pm M-F

We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC), North Seattle, located at 13555 Aurora Ave N. Seattle, WA 98133, is a new clinic that is modelled on our Auburn location. Working at We Care Daily Clinics is rewarding, yet challenging work as you help support our members during some of their most challenging and vulnerable times. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve.

WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.

Position Summary:

Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) are individuals with lived experience in behavioral health recovery who are certified by the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) to provide peer support services. CPSSs use their lived experience to support others in finding their own path to wellness and recovery. They provide non-clinical, person-centered support in alignment with DOH guidelines, emphasizing mutuality, empowerment, and recovery-oriented systems of care.

Duties & Responsibilities (per DOH guidance):

  • Build recovery-oriented relationships using mutual respect, trust, and lived experience
  • Support members in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental peer support
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups, education sessions, or engagement activities
  • Offer harm-reduction resources, information, and linkage to services
  • Document services provided in a timely, accurate, and ethical manner
  • Maintain peer role boundaries and uphold the DOH Code of Ethics for Certified Peer Counselors
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and represent the voice of lived experience
  • Advocate for the member internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications:

  • WA State Certified Peer Support Specialist (Trainee) credential (required)
  • CPC Certification
  • Self-identified as a person in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition and/or have a family member who has experienced mental health and/or substance use condition
  • Commitment to recovery values including self-determination, peer support, and empowerment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and model professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in clinic, outreach, housing, or group settings
  • Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles
  • Working as a peer support specialist 1000 hours
