health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in at Naval Hospital Bremerton/ Bremerton, WA.Employment Status: Full-timeSchedule: Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0600 a nd 1730 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break, respectively.Benefits: Competitive financial package with a comprehensive insurance package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage. Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays401(k) PlanMinimum Qualifications for Substance Abuse Counselor:Degree/Education /Certificate: Graduate from a behavioral science program with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment. • Experience: One year of experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor after graduation. • Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Addictions Counselor. • Certification: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course. Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Maintain a national certification credential by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors or National Board of Certification Counselors or International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse.Core Duties:Perform a full range of Certified Addiction Counselor duties, in accordance with assignment and consistent with the scope of practice for profession, including but not limited to, medical care treatment and patient education in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.Obtain or provide relevant information that will facilitate treatment and assist in developing programs.Provide assessment of substance abuse and addiction.Identify and document medical consequences of alcohol and other substance use, including withdrawal and detoxification.Facilitate the placement and management of patients in appropriate levels of care within the continuum of care model of the treatment of addictive disordersWe support our employees with an accessible dedicated representative to assist you throughout the duration of your contract.
