Experteer Overview In this role you support veterans with substance use and mental health needs within the SUD Treatment Program. You conduct psychosocial assessments, develop and monitor treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions across modalities, including telehealth. You collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and supervise as needed to support licensure and clinical practice. The position emphasizes leadership in clinical supervision, case management, and program coordination within VA settings. You will contribute to measuring outcomes and improving care for veterans with complex needs. Compensation / Benefits • Perform psychosocial assessments and standardized evaluations for SUD • Develop and implement treatment plans with Veterans and families in collaboration with the treatment team • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based interventions • Coordinate community-based services and referrals across VA, government, and community programs • Independently identify high-risk patients, perform crisis evaluation/intervention, and manage caseloads • Supervise/licensed/unlicensed staff and mentor trainees or licensure candidates • Coordinate access and ensure same-day access for Veterans seeking services • Participate in SUD staff huddles, meetings, and caseload management; monitor program metrics and quality improvement activities Tasks • Master's or doctoral degree in CACREP-accredited clinical mental health counseling or related fields • Licensed to independently practice as an LPMHC (or supervised by an appropriate VA staff member) • English proficiency (spoken and written) • U.S. citizenship (or adherent policy) • Licensure and ongoing clinical supervision eligibility • Experience with complex SUD and co-morbid conditions is preferred (GS-12 level requirements) Key requirements •
