Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) - Vallejo, CA
Location: Vallejo, CA 94590
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts (no set days; typically includes every other weekend)
Job Summary
BHT requires either Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician. Must have BLS and preferably CPI. CPI can be attained on site. Require 1 year of psych experience. No on Call. Cannot accept Mental Health Techs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric/mental health setting
- Monitor patient behavior and ensure safety at all times
- Assist with therapeutic interventions and daily patient activities
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to support treatment plans
- Respond effectively to behavioral or crisis situations
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) OR Licensed Psychiatric Tech
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
