Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Provide direct support through individual, group, family, and crisis intervention sessions tailored to clients’ unique needs
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change
  • Manage crisis situations effectively by implementing crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies to ensure client safety
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, case managers, educators, and medical professionals—to coordinate comprehensive care plans
  • Conduct intake assessments for new clients, ensuring thorough understanding of their history and presenting issues
  • Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to enhance treatment efficacy and contribute to best practices in behavioral health
  • Provide specialized counseling services for populations such as children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), individuals with PTSD or grief issues, geriatrics, pediatrics, or those dealing with addiction or chronic pain

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy or related field from an accredited institution
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent credentialing required for practice
  • Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults or individuals with disabilities in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, psychopharmacology principles, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Experience with crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols in clinical environments
  • Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing procedures
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record systems
  • Telehealth experience is highly desirable to support remote patient care delivery
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through research activities or continuing education opportunities
