Main Objective:
The Intake Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patient onboarding and ensuring accurate and timely processing of referrals and authorizations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal team members. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake processes and ensure all required documentation is collected and accurately recorded.
- Manage and respond to incoming documentation while maintaining accurate tracking of all inquiries.
- Create and maintain patient profiles, ensuring all pertinent demographic and clinical information is entered correctly.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and update the patient database as needed.
- Maintain organized records and documentation within internal systems.
- Provide courteous and professional communication with patients, providers, and team members.
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Working knowledge of office equipment, such as printers, fax machines, phones, and computers
- Ability to coordinate schedules without overlapping
- Pleasant and friendly attitude
- Experience with working with Brightree is preferred
- High school diploma/ GED required
