NCW Staffing is looking for Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) – Vallejo, CA

Rate: $35.00 per hour =
Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | 5×8s, no set days | Every other weekend
Location: Vallejo, CA

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) to join our behavioral health hospital team in Vallejo, CA. This role provides care in an acute psychiatric hospital environment and involves direct patient interaction, behavioral support, and collaboration with clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to psychiatric patients.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and safety interventions.
• Document patient behavior, progress, and changes accurately.
• Use CPI/TEAM techniques to maintain a safe therapeutic hospital environment.
• Work collaboratively with RNs and multidisciplinary hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN or LPT license
• AHA‑BLS or ARC‑BLS certification
• CPI or TEAM certification (CPI available on‑site)
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric experience
• High School Diploma/GED
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
• Two years of experience in an acute or long‑term mental healthcare hospital (preferred)
• Cannot accept Mental Health Technicians (MHTs)
