LGSW Social Worker / Psychotherapist

We are seeking a DC licensed Social Worker (LGSW) that is a communicative and compassionate to join our team. We strive to deliver the highest quality of psychotherapy to clients in the surrounding community. In this role, you will work directly with clients to actively listen to concerns and work with the client to develop/learn healthy and productive ways of improving symptoms and meeting goals. This role requires someone who enjoys working closely with people—not just with clients, but also with other members of our team and occasionally outside agencies. The right person for this position will be dependable and punctual. We work with a wide range of patients struggling with adjustment to life transitions, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, relationship discord, and more. We’re seeking a psychotherapist who is eager to make a difference in clients’ lives and contribute to our growing practice. This is an independent contractor fee-for-service position. A MINIMUM of 15 hours/clients per week of availability is required. Individual and group supervision will be provided at no cost.

Therapist Duties and Responsibilities

· Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients.

· Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances. Utilizing a strengths based perspective.

· Meets with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

· Implement various treatments and protocols to provide guidance and appropriately address client situations.

· Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary.

· Record and maintain adequate notes about client visits with EHR system.

· When required, refer clients to outside sources or agencies that can better address their specific needs.

· Maintain the strictest confidentiality of each and every client situation.

· Maintain all required licenses and the appropriate liability insurance.

· Follow company policies and procedures.

Therapist Requirements and Qualifications

· Minimum of a Master’s degree in social work or counseling.

· Currently hold a LGSW in DC. License in MD and VA a plus.

· 1+ years of clinical experience working directly with clients.

· Knowledge of psychosocial disorders, diagnoses, and therapies, and professional social work/professional counseling theory, principles.

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen.

· A positive and compassionate attitude.

· Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs.

· Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field.

· Passion for advancing the therapy field.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 per hour
