Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the upcoming school year in Freeport, IL, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social-emotional development of a diverse student population by providing psychological services in a supportive school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois School Psychologist licensure with a Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Proven ability to conduct assessments, develop interventions, and collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators
- Strong understanding of child development, behavioral health, and educational psychology
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for K-12 students
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support student success
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student needs and progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student outcomes to ensure effective support
- Maintain compliance with state and district policies and confidentiality regulations
