Location: 200 New Stine Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93309
Up to $29/hour
Part-time position | Afternoon availability required
We are seeking applicants with availability Monday–Friday afternoons (2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.), and possibly Saturdays (9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). Hours vary based on client schedules. No weekday morning hours available.
Experience Required: 1–2+ years working with children with autism, special needs, or in ABA-related roles

What You’ll Do as a Behavior Technician
Work one-on-one with children in a center-based setting using play-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques to support learning and development, including:
- Supporting social skills such as sharing and cooperative play
- Encouraging verbal and nonverbal communication through interactive activities
- Teaching emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Promoting positive behavior using reinforcement techniques
- Guiding motor skill development through structured play
- Enhancing problem-solving and cognitive skills
- Encouraging daily living skills, including self-care and following routines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2+ years of experience working with children with autism, special needs, or in ABA-related roles
- Availability for part-time schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Possibly Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Full availability for 7 consecutive days of required paid training, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Full availability required; no accommodations provided for training
- Reliable transportation to the center
- Must provide valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration, and Vehicle Insurance (as an authorized driver) per company policy
- Comfortable using a personal device for data entry (stipend provided)
- Physical ability to kneel, run, lift up to 35 lbs, and move quickly as needed
- Experience with children in school, daycare, or after-school programs preferred
- Background in Psychology, Child Development, or related fields is a plus
