Location: 200 New Stine Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93309
Up to $29/hour

Part-time position | Afternoon availability required

We are seeking applicants with availability Monday–Friday afternoons (2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.), and possibly Saturdays (9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.). Hours vary based on client schedules. No weekday morning hours available.

Experience Required: 1–2+ years working with children with autism, special needs, or in ABA-related roles
Paid, in-person ABA training provided and required

What You’ll Do as a Behavior Technician

Work one-on-one with children in a center-based setting using play-based ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques to support learning and development, including:

• Supporting social skills such as sharing and cooperative play
• Encouraging verbal and nonverbal communication through interactive activities
• Teaching emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Promoting positive behavior using reinforcement techniques
• Guiding motor skill development through structured play
• Enhancing problem-solving and cognitive skills
• Encouraging daily living skills, including self-care and following routines

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2+ years of experience working with children with autism, special needs, or in ABA-related roles
• Availability for part-time schedule:
• Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
• Possibly Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
• Full availability for 7 consecutive days of required paid training, Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Full availability required; no accommodations provided for training
• Reliable transportation to the center
• Must provide valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration, and Vehicle Insurance (as an authorized driver) per company policy
• Comfortable using a personal device for data entry (stipend provided)
• Physical ability to kneel, run, lift up to 35 lbs, and move quickly as needed
• Experience with children in school, daycare, or after-school programs preferred
• Background in Psychology, Child Development, or related fields is a plus
