Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team in providing high-quality in home support services. The Behavior Technician will work closely with individuals with autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives while gaining valuable experience in the field of behavioral therapy and special education.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing behavior treatment plans to be delivered in the natural environment.
- Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients during sessions, promoting positive behaviors and skill development in areas such as communication, social skills, and daily living.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Document all session activities, progress notes, and relevant medical records thoroughly and accurately.
Qualifications
- Experience working at least 1 year with individuals with autism is required.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable.
- Strong data collection skills with attention to detail for tracking client progress effectively.
- Ability to work well with people with autism in the home setting.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to confidentiality and privacy.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals with behavioral health needs.
- Prior experience in special education is required. This position provides an enriching environment for those passionate about making a positive impact through in home support services while developing professional skills.
