Mental Health Counselor - New Opening

Job Summary:

The Mary Welsh Foundation is a non-profit mental health organization. We provide counseling, medical and psychiatric services to children, adolescents and adults. We have five locations in the Tampa Bay Area. Our collective experience enables us to offer effective outpatient individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders and provide a neutral ground for individuals, families, and couples to heal under the care of our outstanding clinical team. We provide medication management with our nurse practitioners under the direction of our medical director. We are person-centered in our approach and are seeking a bilingual counselor that is compassionate, ethical and responsible and in the field of helping heal others. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

The Counselor:

· Must be familiar with and always comply with HIPPA rules and regulations.

· Must see the client on a timely basis and write a clinical note within 48 hours of meeting with the patient/client.

· Refer the patient/client for medication management via the company’s protocol.

· Confer with the psychiatry department for the continuity of care.

· Communicate issues in a timely manner with any concerns regarding the timely submission of paperwork and/or patient care.

· Attend any meetings required for clinical training and updates.

· Must comply with established guidelines in the company Handbook.

Qualifications:

· Bilingual preferred.

.Candidates must have a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work and/or Marriage and Family Therapy.

· Candidates must have reliable transportation.

· Candidates must attend training for this position.

· Candidates must have their own laptop

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
