Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral therapy services. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through evidence-based interventions and supportive care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in applied behavior analysis (ABA), experience working with children, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence
- Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Support clients in developing communication, social, and behavioral skills through teaching strategies
- Maintain detailed and confidential medical documentation, including behavior logs, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches
- Manage behavior challenges using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and data collection methods
- Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing individualized care plans
- Strong understanding of medical records, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements under HIPAA
- Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with people of diverse needs
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment
- Prior experience in special education or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
