Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote independence

  • Support clients in developing communication, social, and behavioral skills through teaching strategies
  • Maintain detailed and confidential medical documentation, including behavior logs, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches
  • Manage behavior challenges using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
  • Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and data collection methods
  • Familiarity with assisting clients with ADLs and implementing individualized care plans
  • Strong understanding of medical records, documentation standards, and confidentiality requirements under HIPAA
  • Excellent teaching skills with patience and empathy for working with people of diverse needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive environment
