Duties

• Act as the main liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear communication and personalized support
• Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and follow-up care instructions
• Provide comprehensive administrative support within a medical or dental office setting, including managing patient records and documentation
• Identify schedule gaps, and look for solutions to productively schedule
• Accurately input insurance data, and identify how to utilize each patient's benefits
• Use medical terminology accurately to explain procedures, treatments, and billing information to patients
• Address patient inquiries via phone or in-person with enthusiasm, professionalism, and clarity
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations

Experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a medical or dental office environment, demonstrating familiarity with clinical workflows
• Proven ability to handle medical administrative tasks efficiently while providing excellent customer service
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams
• Prior experience supporting office operations in a healthcare setting is highly preferred
• Familiarity with medical record management systems and appointment scheduling software
• Familiarity with inputting insurance into dental software, and understanding benefits
• Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive attitude to anticipate patient needs and resolve issues swiftly
