- Minimum of a master's degree.
- A valid school counseling certificate or such other credentials as may be required by the State Board for Educator Certification for this position.
- Knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students, parents, and district staff
- At least two years of teaching experience.
- Develop the counseling program in relation to the needs of the student/school being served.
- Provide crisis counseling.
