Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RBT to support students in their educational journey. This role involves working closely with teachers to provide assistance in the classroom, ensuring that all students receive the attention and resources they need to thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong understanding of childhood development, particularly in working with students with diverse learning needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
Caseload
- 3 classrooms for students with communication disorders, autism, and developmental delays. Some with social-emotional and behavioral needs. These classrooms have about 10 students each, ranging from K-8th grade.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them understand instructional materials.
- Facilitate small group activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers.
- Support students during daily routines, including transitions between activities.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning as needed.
- Engage in early childhood education practices when applicable.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create effective strategies for student success.
Skills
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Ability to work effectively in a classroom environment, supporting both teachers and students.
- Experience in early childhood education settings is a plus.
- Understanding of strategies for educating students with autism or other special needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help children learn and grow.
Pay
- Between $26-$31/hour (10-99 contract) based on candidate experience
