This onsite School Social Worker position in Waterford, MI, offers an opportunity to provide vital intervention support to students within a contract-based role. Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will support special education students in small or moderate group settings, as well as one-on-one, across various grade levels from K-12. Assignments may vary among elementary (K-6), middle, or high school (7-12) placements based on current school availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intervention support tailored to special education students.
- Deliver services through individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student outcomes.
- Manage caseload according to school assignments and needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work.
- Full Michigan Department of Education (MDE) approval or Social Worker Certificate, or SSW 310 credential letter with application underway.
- Valid Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA.
- Experience working within school settings preferred.
