A licensed Social Worker is needed to provide coverage for an elementary caseload within a school setting in Providence, RI. This contract position runs from January 27th through March 28th, with the potential to extend through the end of the school year. The role requires 35 hours per week supporting students with social and emotional needs during a leave of absence.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to elementary students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services rendered, including logging for Medicaid reimbursement purposes
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement interventions tailored to student needs
  • Participate in virtual panel interviews and comply with all onboarding requirements including fingerprint-based background checks

Qualifications:

  • Current Rhode Island Social Worker license is required
  • Previous experience working within elementary school settings is strongly preferred
  • Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Medicaid service logging
  • Ability to engage with students and staff in a supportive and professional manner
