As a residential staff member, you will be responsible for supporting the daily needs of the individuals in our group homes and supervised apartments, as well as driving them to various appointments. Residential Aide Schedule

(17 Hours)

Sunday: 5pm-11pm

Monday: 3pm-8pm

Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: OFF

Friday: OFF

Saturday: 5pm-11pm

Requirements:

  • Valid Non-Probationary New Jersey Driver's License
  • Auto Insurance with applicant's name on the Auto Policy.
  • Reliable vehicle for transport with and for the consumer.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR and First Aid

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and the healthcare team while providing compassionate care and maintaining professional boundaries.

- Previous experience in direct support or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Experience working with individuals with Disabilities like but not limited to autism, dementia, assisted living or hospice care etc.

Duties for this position include:

  • Assist and support in the day-to-day operations of residential program which include consumer related needs and household tasks.
  • Assisting residents with daily personal routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, etc.
  • Providing companionship/caregiving to residents and establishing a trusting relationship with them.
  • Accustomed and well trained on using devices to assist clients such as wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, bathing aids, etc.
  • Ensuring that residents are taking their prescribed medication(s) as directed by healthcare professional.
  • Provide effective efficient delivery of services to consumers.
  • Complete and compile accurate, detailed daily documentation.
  • Actively participates in planning and carrying out of recreational activities.
  • Responds to crisis and emergency situations.
  • Provide pro-active, goal-oriented support to Management and co-workers.

Please note: Residential staff (DSP) must be proficient in utilizing technology.
