Experteer Overview In this role you will provide specialized psychological services within a BHIP team at the VA, delivering intake assessments, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and consultations. You will contribute to staff education and supervise trainees as part of an interdisciplinary mental health effort. The position supports telehealth and in-clinic care, focusing on culturally sensitive, person-centered treatment plans. You will work to improve patient care through collaboration, training, and clinical leadership within the VA system. Compensation / Benefits • Independently deliver specialized psychological services across complexity levels, including intake, assessment, psychotherapy, and patient education • Assess crises, formulate and implement crisis plans, provide crisis interventions and follow-up care • Conduct outpatient and inpatient evaluations to aid differential diagnosis • Provide therapy options (individual, group, psycho-education) and patient education • Consult with medical center staff on treatment decisions and capacity for health care • Develop culturally sensitive, person-centered treatment plans • Supervise psychology interns and trainees; ensure appropriate documentation and charting • Coordinate release of records, referrals, and liaison with collateral contacts as needed • Participate in annual training and serve on selection panels as assigned • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance area of specialization • Fulfill duties consistent with performance measures and program expectations • Other related duties as assigned Tasks • Key requirements • EDRP eligible • Full Time schedule (Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30) • Telework ad hoc authorized • Relocation/Recruitment Incentives may be authorized • Clinical training and supervision opportunities • Professional development and annual trainings
