Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Monitor and document client progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Educate clients and their families on behavior management strategies and techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and reports as required.
- Assist in the development of new treatment strategies based on client needs and progress.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Requirements
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities, is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral therapy techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients and families about behavior management.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
