Note: You must have your RBT Certification to apply for this role.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in supporting adults with developmental disabilities who also present with co-occurring mental health needs. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior support plans, teach daily living and social skills, and promote independence in community and residential settings. This role requires patience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage challenging behaviors while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with dual diagnoses, demonstrate a commitment to person-centered care, and bring a positive, team-oriented approach to helping adults achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA.
- Collect and accurately record behavioral and skill acquisition data.
- Support clients in developing adaptive skills, communication, and independence.
- Assist with crisis intervention and the management of challenging behaviors using approved strategies.
- Collaborate with supervisors, direct support staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of support plans.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered support in community and home settings.
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred).
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring mental health conditions strongly preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work in community and residential environments.
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings.

Pay: $27.00 per hour
