A full-time Social Worker opportunity is available for the remainder of the current school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Temperance, MI. This role is ideal for compassionate professionals who are passionate about supporting students social and emotional well-being across all grade levels within a single building. Part-time candidates will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services to a caseload of 41 students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Address a range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to support student needs.
- Develop intervention plans, conduct individual and group counseling, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support students academic success by addressing barriers related to social and emotional health.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work or related field.
- Valid state social work license or certification as required for school social work services.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or educational setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently.
