Job Overview
The RBT Team Lead at Reaching Clarity Homecare plays a dual role by providing direct behavioral therapy services while serving as a clinical and operational leader for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavior aides.

The RBT Team Lead works closely with the Clinical Team and supervising BCBA to ensure fidelity to Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs), supports staff development, monitors documentation and data integrity, and promotes a culture of professionalism, compassion, accountability, and teamwork.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Team Lead to oversee behavioral support services for children and adults with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), and a passion for improving the lives of individuals through evidence-based interventions.

Duties

Leadership & Team Support

  • Serve as a role model for Reaching Clarity’s values, professionalism, and ethical standards
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and mentorship to assigned RBT and behavior support staff
  • Support staff engagement, morale, and retention through consistent leadership
  • Assist with performance feedback, corrective guidance, and skill development

Clinical Oversight & Fidelity Monitoring

  • Observe RBTs and Behavior Aides in the field to ensure accurate, ethical, and consistent implementation of BIPs and PBSPs
  • Monitor treatment fidelity and provide real-time coaching and follow-up support
  • Report clinical concerns, behavioral risks, or implementation barriers to the supervising BCBA

Training & Development

  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and shadowing of new RBT staff
  • Support ongoing competency-based training and refreshers
  • Reinforce proper data collection, session structure, and professional boundaries
  • Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and teaching new skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plan development

Direct Behavioral Services

  • Provide 1:1 behavioral therapy services to individuals served by Reaching Clarity Homecare
  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and facilitate skill acquisition through teaching strategies aligned with ABA principles
  • Implement skill acquisition programs and behavior reduction strategies
  • Model appropriate therapeutic interactions, engagement strategies, and documentation practices

Data, Documentation & Compliance

  • Review and audit session notes, data collection, and service documentation for accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure services align with:
  • Agency standards
  • Credentialing Programs
  • HIPAA and confidentiality standards
  • Identify documentation errors and provide corrective guidance to staff

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a communication bridge between direct behavior support staff, RBTs, BCBAs, families, and administrative staff
  • Support family education by modeling respectful and professional interactions
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and clinical discussions as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (must remain in good standing)
  • 1–3+ years of ABA experience providing direct behavioral services
  • Experience implementing BIPs, PBSPs, and data collection systems
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities

Work Environment

  • Services may be provided in client homes and community settings
  • Requiring Travel between client homes and service locations
  • Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability, professionalism, and emotional resilience

Physical & Functional Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transfer, or assist individuals weighing up to 25–50 pounds, as required
  • Ability to engage in crisis intervention and behavior management techniques when trained and authorized
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout sessions and environments

This role is vital in delivering compassionate, effective behavioral health services that support individual’s development while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
