About The Position
The Research Psychologist/Neuropsychologist will assist in development of research protocols, manage regulatory requirements, collect clinical data, interpret clinical data results, provide reports, manage and organize data. Specifically, the Research Psychologist/Neuropsychologist is responsible for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of neurocognitive, psychological, and related clinical data in support of research initiatives. This role also provides technical and subject-matter consultation within their clinical specialty, contributing to study design, data integrity, and the accurate interpretation of findings. QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. Citizen, able to pass security/background checks for access to restricted Federal facilities
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a closely related field required
- 3-5 years knowledge and experience with Department of War (DoW) Grants and agreements administration and management, preferred
- 3-5 years medical research project management experience strongly desired, preferably with Department of War and Special Operations populations
- Experience with advanced medical technologies, preferred
- Demonstrate competence in oral and written communication
- Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and available to interact with employees, clients and sponsors of all levels
- Ability to exercise independent judgement in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines to manage multiple projects
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results
- Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software
- Specialized training or experience in neuropsychological assessment and research methods
- Strong knowledge of neurocognitive and psychological assessment tools
- Experience with clinical or research data collection and interpretation
- Ability to provide clear technical guidance within a clinical specialty area
Expanded Qualifications
- Be able to procure, administer, and interpret the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence - Second Edition (WASI-II)
- Be able to administer a structured patient interview using the Ohio State University TBI Identification Method
- Advise on interpretation of patient-reported outcome measures, such as the Concussion Clinical Profiles Screening, Neurobehavioral Symptom Inventory, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI and Brief PSQI), PTSD Checklist for DSM-5, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Patient Health Questionnaire, and Quality of Life after Brain Injury
- Be able to administer and interpret the Military Acute Concussion Evaluation 2 (MACE2) with embedded Vestibular/Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS), Sway mobile device application (Sway Medical, Inc.), King-Devick Test (King-Devick Technologies, Inc.), EYE-SYNC (NeuroSync, Inc.), Automated Neuropsychological Assessment Metrics (v4) Military Expanded, and electroencephalogram (EEG) testing with the NeuroCatch
- Provide subject matter expertise to aide in interpretation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data
- Be available to travel to testing facilities on Fort Bragg, NC, to conduct data collection in accordance with military participant schedules, including subject recruitment, enrollment, and other aspects of project execution

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the development of the research protocol(s) as the subject matter expert
- Reviews research documentation and provides detailed technical written notes
- Directs and performs recurring analyses on research portfolios to identify critical gaps, exceptional results and/or lack of progress
- Manages and organizes data and assure that necessary archival procedures have been conducted
- Interacts with other services and government agencies, organizes and hosts research planning and coordination meetings, and informs the Principal Investigator of developments
- Maintains open communication with the Principal Investigator, advise of processes, report progress and serve as a point of contact, as applicable
- Provides guidance to scientists preparing research proposals and abstracts/posters/manuscripts, to include guidance on research protocol development, as needed
- Performs scientific reviews on research proposals submitted for consideration, as requested
- Maintains and updates files of all applicable regulatory documentation for IRB (including protocols, approvals, amendments, modifications, etc.) as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office (including prior approvals, change in scope, etc.)
- Collect neurocognitive, psychological, and other relevant clinical data using standardized assessment tools and research protocols
- Administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological and psychological assessments for research purposes
- Analyze and synthesize research data to support study objectives and conclusions
- Maintain accurate, organized, and compliant research records and databases
- Provide technical consultation and expertise in psychology/neuropsychology to research teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and validation of research protocols and assessment methodologies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, and data analysts
- Assist in the preparation of research reports, manuscripts, presentations, and grant materials as needed
- Ensure research activities comply with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies
