Patient Care Coordinator

Oncology & Hematology practice in West Hills is looking for a dependable, friendly & motivated person for our newly built Imaging Center.

The ideal candidate must be friendly and able to welcome all patients & visitors that walk into our facilities. You must be organized and able to multi-task. Excellent customer service required and at least 2 years related experience in the medical environment.

This position includes some of (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Greet patients and other customers over the phone and in person.
• Answer and screen telephone calls. Document phone messages in EMR system.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Coordinate treatment appointments.
• Obtain authorization for PET/CT and CT Scans
• Verifies medical insurance eligibility and benefits (HMO, PPO, Medicare).
• Effectively communicate information to patient, clinician, referring physicians.
• Coordinator care for our patients.
• Demonstrate empathy, concern, good listening skills, and compassion for all patients.
• Knowledge of word processing software, internet software and electronic medical records.
• Provide other tasks as deemed reasonable by Manager.
