Clinical Psychologist – National Brain Injury Institute (NBII)

The National Brain Injury Institute (NBII) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team specializing in brain injury recovery and neurological rehabilitation. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychological care to individuals impacted by traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, stroke, and related conditions. The Clinical Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting patients’ emotional, cognitive, and behavioral health throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and neurobehavioral screenings for individuals with brain injury and neurological conditions
  • Provide individual psychotherapy using evidence-based approaches (CBT, trauma-informed care, supportive therapy, etc.)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to cognitive, emotional, and psychosocial needs
  • Collaborate with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Support patients and families through adjustment, coping, and recovery challenges following injury
  • Document clinical findings and treatment progress in accordance with healthcare standards and NBII protocols
  • Supervise and train psychological test technicians. Participate in team case conferences, program development, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide consultation and psychoeducation to staff, patients, and caregivers as needed

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program
  • Licensed or license-eligible Clinical Psychologist in the state of practice
  • Experience working with brain injury, trauma, rehabilitation, or neuropsychological populations preferred
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention
  • Commitment to patient-centered, collaborative, and integrative care
