Position Summary

The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for the direct supervision of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) delivering applied behavior analysis (ABA) services in home and school settings. This role includes overseeing treatment implementation, providing structured parent training, reviewing clinical documentation, and making protocol-level modifications to Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the direction and within the scope of supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The BCaBA plays a critical role in ensuring treatment fidelity, data accuracy, and high-quality service delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and clinical support to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) across home and school-based cases
  • Observe therapy sessions regularly to assess treatment integrity and provide performance feedback to RBTs
  • Review RBT session documentation, including data collection, session notes, and behavior tracking, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance
  • Modify behavior intervention protocols and skill acquisition programs as needed, consistent with clinical guidelines and supervisory direction
  • Conduct parent and caregiver training sessions using evidence-based, behavior-analytic teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with families to promote generalization and maintenance of skills across environments
  • Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs regarding client progress, treatment barriers, and recommended adjustments
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary collaboration as required
  • Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with BACB ethical standards, organizational policies, and funding-source requirements
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development of RBT staff as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification in good standing
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a BCaBA
  • Demonstrated experience supervising RBTs in home and/or school settings
  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, data-based decision making, and behavior intervention planning
  • Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting behavioral data and clinical documentation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, families, and supervisors
  • Fluency in English (required)
  • Spanish proficiency (preferred but not required)

Work Environment

  • Services are delivered primarily in home and school settings
  • Travel between client locations may be required
  • Schedule may include daytime and limited evening hours based on client needs
