Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) — Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) | Fox Lake, IL (Full-Time)

Mathers Recovery (CARF-Accredited OTP) is hiring a CADC Counselor to join our Fox Lake Clinic team. This is a full-time, in-person counseling role in a collaborative Opioid Treatment Program providing methadone and buprenorphine/Suboxone, with integrated support for co-occurring mental health needs.

Hours - 5.30 AM -1PM M-F, 1 in 3 Saturday rotation from 7 am-10 am

Pay

• $23.00/hour starting
• 90-day performance review with an increase to $24.00/hour if performance is satisfactory
• Higher starting rate may be available for candidates with active Illinois CADC certification and relevant OTP/MAT experience.

What You’ll Do

You’ll provide direct counseling services for OTP patients and play a key role in day-to-day treatment delivery:

• Manage a caseload including intakes, assessments, treatment planning, individual & group counseling, and timely documentation
• Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and mental health staff to provide integrated, evidence-based care
• Maintain strong compliance with IDHS/SUPR standards, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and agency policies Offer

What We’re Looking For

Required / Strongly Preferred

• Illinois CADC certification preferred
• We will consider applicants actively working toward CADC with the ability to obtain/maintain certification within 2 years
• Experience in OTP/methadone, MAT, SUD treatment, or behavioral health preferred
• Solid skills in documentation, organization, group facilitation, and therapeutic rapport
