Experteer Overview In this role you support Veterans with mental health and substance use disorders within the MH RRTP, delivering comprehensive psychological services. You will conduct assessments, provide evidence-based therapies, and collaborate with clinical and community teams to optimize care. The position emphasizes telehealth delivery, discharge planning, and treatment planning within a mission-driven VA system. You will contribute to program development and quality improvement while ensuring compliant documentation and performance measures. Compensation / Benefits • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnoses for Veterans with mental health and substance use disorders • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapies (individual, family, group) and manage treatment planning for a caseload • Provide education to patients, families, and significant others; offer consultation to clinical staff and community providers • Perform discharge planning and ensure documentation, codes, and reminders are completed promptly • Utilize measurement-based care and telehealth to deliver services; adhere to CPRS documentation standards • Assist in design, development, and implementation of clinical programs; participate in program evaluation and quality improvement • Coordinate with other health care programs to ensure integrated services; attend relevant meetings and peer review proceedings • Work under supervision if unlicensed; obtain full clinical privileges as appropriate • Ensure compliance with national/local performance measures and health screening requirements • Maintain professional responsibilities and liaison activities within the Dayton VA Medical Center and MH service leadership Tasks • U.S. Citizenship • Doctoral degree in psychology from APA/PCSAS/CPA-accredited program or equivalent specializations with internship/board requirements • Full, current, unrestricted psychology license (or eligible for temporary graduate psychologist appointment) • Internship accreditation requirements met (APA/CPA or equivalent) • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) • Background/security investigation clearance • Pre-employment medical examination and influenza vaccination participation • Experience or training in trauma-focused care and assessment methods (preferred) • Ability to provide services via telehealth and work within EHR systems (CPRS) Key requirements • Paid Time Off: 37-50 days/year • Parental Leave: up to 12 weeks after 12 months • Child Care Subsidy: up to 25% for eligible costs • Federal health/vision/dental/long-term care insurance • Traditional pension and federal 401K • Competitive salary with regular increases
