Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Autism Community Network (ACN) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit Organization founded in 2008. The primary goals of Autism Community Network of San Antonio are to provide early, high quality, interdisciplinary diagnosis and evidence-based intervention for Autistic children and their families, innovative education and training for professional and familial caregivers, and comprehensive information and networking for our community at large. ACN is a NEUROAFFIRMING Practice.


I.Clinical Service:

·      Leads an interdisciplinary diagnostic team, evaluating young children with suspected autism.

·      Provides patient care which complies with the Employee Handbook, rules and regulations and

ACN's policies and procedures.

·      Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice. Serves

as a resource for patient/family and staff education.

·      Provides an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintains accurate and complete

records.

·      Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication in a timely manner to facilitate

patient care and appropriate reimbursement.

·      Provides supervision as appropriate to allied health providers and/or support staff in the clinical

area.

·      A commitment to a model of care centered on inter-professional and collaborative teams of

service delivery.


II.Research:

·      Actively supports research activities the agency is engaged in.

·      Seeks additional opportunities to support and lead research efforts as time and interest allow.


III.   Teaching:

·      Provides direct supervision for trainees (psychology interns/externs, medical residents, therapy

interns, undergraduate interns), ensuring adequate opportunities for training through teaching,

patient contact, case review and research.


 IV. Administrative:

·      Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area and the

organization overall.

·      Participates in activities that enhance professional development.

·      Completes and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the .

assigned area. Participates in the development of goals for the department including research,

quality and customer service initiatives.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·      PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA Accredited Program

·      Successful completion of an APA Accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship

·      Full and unrestricted licensure as a Psychologist in the State of Texas (Currently the Agency is

unable to provide supervision for unlicensed or provisionally licensed providers)

·      Neuroaffirming practitioner

·      Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·      Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with children,  families, and

team members.


PREFERRED:

·      Bilingual (Conversational Spanish)/Multilingual

·      Completion of postdoctoral fellowship in a related field, such as pediatric neuropsychology and/or

developmental psychology.

·      Competency to administer a variety of assessments

·      Competency with telemental health
