Summary

This individual would work closely with Dr. Reed and the entire Shelter Medicine team to design, implement, and execute programs that address the needs of underserved communities while strengthening the overall impact of the Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program.


Responsibilities

  • Providing trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, advocacy, and resource linkage for clients and community members
  • Supporting sustainable program and service development, evaluation, and community engagement initiatives
  • Increasing community engagement and improving access to veterinary and pet-related supports
  • Ensuring ethical service delivery through interprofessional and community collaboration, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Supporting the well-being of both human and animal populations impacted by the program

  • Masters in social work, psychology, or related field
