Experteer Overview In this role you provide integrated psychiatric care within the Article 16 Clinic, balancing mental and physical health to support recovery. You will serve as a primary prescriber and may supervise other clinicians, aligning treatment with measurable, accountable care. You’ll advise multi-disciplinary teams on psychiatric plans of care and report to a higher-level psychiatrist. This position offers a chance to shape behavioral health services within a statewide program and contribute to a mission-driven public healthcare system. Compensation / Benefits • Deliver comprehensive psychiatric treatment within a behavioral health team • Act as primary prescriber with emphasis on psychopharmacology • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to medical personnel or clinicians • Supervise psychiatric care for an assigned facility or program • Advise multidisciplinary residential teams on psychiatric plans of care • Practice under direction of a higher-level Psychiatrist or Physician Tasks • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State • Completion of a psychiatry training program approved by the ABPN • Compliance with background checks and eligibility criteria (SEL, CBC, SCR) • Cannot be listed on Medicaid/Medicare exclusion lists; may need to participate in Medicare/Medicaid billing • Ability to obtain and provide an NPI number and participate in billing as required Key requirements • health care coverage with family dental and vision • 13 paid holidays per year • paid vacation leave • paid sick leave • paid parental leave up to 12 weeks • retirement plan (ERS)
