Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on providing support in teaching new skills, and collecting data to monitor progress. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Utilize Applied behavioral therapy techniques to teach new skills and reinforce positive behaviors.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy for ongoing assessments.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with families, and healthcare professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide support in behavior management of behaviors such as aggression, SIB, elopement etc.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is essential.
- Strong skills in data collection, and documentation practices related to behavioral health.
- Ability to create positive relationships with clients while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- A commitment to ethical practices in accordance with HIPAA guidelines regarding medical records and patient confidentiality.
