We are partnering with a well established, national. quality-driven behavioral health organization to help with their search for a Director of Clinical Services to lead clinical programming at a large child and adolescent behavioral health hospital campus serving a high-need regional population. This is a clinical leadership search for a stable, high-performing facility with strong demand, excellent referral relationships, and a collaborative executive team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Director of Clinical Services provides oversight for all therapists, case managers, and recreational therapy staff across multiple levels of care, including inpatient acute psych and residential treatment. This role partners closely with an experienced CEO who has successfully stabilized operations and rebuilt the clinical team over the past 18+ months. The environment is clinically focused, supportive, and realistic in expectations—not a chaotic or punitive culture.

- High-potential Lead Therapists or Assistant Directors ready to step into their first director-level role
Candidates must bring child/adolescent behavioral health experience and active clinical licensure or ability to obtain.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and clinical consultation to therapists, case managers, and recreational therapy staff
- Direct day-to-day clinical operations to ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality clinical talent
- Ensure proper staffing models aligned with safety, census, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor clinical documentation, treatment quality, and outcomes
- Partner with Nursing, Medical, and Executive Leadership on program development
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance reviews
- Participate in administrator on-call rotation
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related clinical field
- Active licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist; ability to obtain TN licensure required)
- Minimum 4 years of clinical experience with children/adolescents
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Experience in adolescent acute or residential treatment environments
- Strong leadership presence with a firm, supportive management style
