is adding a Psychiatrist - Women's Health with interest and/or expertise in reproductive mental health, to join a new Perinatal Psychiatry treatment program at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy.

The Integrated Women's Mental Health clinic at South Brooklyn Health is established through the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence Award from New York State. This unique program provides a variety of behavioral health services to women in the pre- and postpartum period, including OB behavioral health integration, psychiatric diagnostic evaluation and medication management, and utilizes evidenced-based therapies for anxiety and depression.

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details

  • Experienced preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Role will include pre-conception counseling and psychoeducation, as well as evaluation and treatment for women during pregnancy and continuing as long as one year postpartum.
  • Collaborate with a team of psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and OB-GYNs.
